Bonnie began her comedy and improv training in Chicago at The Second City, The iO Theater and ComedySportz and has gone on to perform across NYC and beyond, including touring with Craig Shoemaker, appearing in the New York Comedy Festival and performing alongside Aleeza Ben Shalom of Netflix’s Jewish Matchmaking. Come have a laugh with them and celebrate their hard work! Two Item Minimum Required Per PersonDESCRIPTION:Have you always wanted to try stand-up but didn’t know where to start?Are you a veteran comic whose jokes aren't consistent? Need editing? Do you need a safe space to work out new material?This 6-week course will review basic writing and performance techniques including how to source material, edit jokes, and shape your set. You will learn mic technique, crowd work, act outs, characters, and comedy show etiquette (it's a thing!). This course provides a fun, supportive environment for you to explore your material and find your authentic comedic voice.The workshop concludes with a show at West Side Comedy Club, providing students the opportunity to perform their 5-minute set in front of a live audience. - This Advanced 6-week course will focus on writing techniques, stage presence, and help you continue to hone your unique comedy voice.
