- Building Your Hour, Workshop with William Kean
- Longer Sets: Put "The Me" In "Theme" Are you transitioning from tight 5's towards longer sets or even full specials? This is THE workshop to perfect the skills needed to stay ahead of the competition. You'll learn how to craft a thematic work of art that stays cohesive from your intro to your outro. This includes dramaturgical tricks to make your callbacks more memorable, your stage pictures more dynamic, and your transitions true moments instead of filler. If you want the audience to feel like you've done more than just bit #1, bit #2, bit #3, closing bit, then these are must-have skills for your professional toolkit. This three hour workshop will consist of taking current material and pulling out deeper themes as well as strengthening the bridging material between bits. There will be exercises specifically focused on the liminal moments of your set and ways to use stagecraft to augment your comedic messages. The skills can be learned with or without prepared material by watching those who come with sets, but ideally at least a tight 5 is needed to get the most out of the lessons. Additionally, all of your jokes will be punched up as an added bonus. Please come prepared with material ready to perform and workshop!EARLY BIRD PRICING AVAILABLE THROUGH DECEMBER 25TH - PLEASE REACH OUT TO [email protected] FOR DISCOUNT CODEAbout William KeanWilliam Kean has performed comedy almost his entire life.
