We all do little things that get in the way of our comedy, and it's hard to spot our own blind spots. In this workshop, you'll perform a tight 5-minute set and get feedback on these elements in your standup. Additionally, you'll be given custom exercises to help "untrain" your bad habits.
Whether it's performative (avoiding the audience, nervous body language, repetitive speech patterns) or written (similar joke structure, heightening in the same way, limited subject matter), this workshop will help you break into the next tier of your development and unlock new ways to express your comedic voice.

About William Kean:
William Kean has performed comedy almost his entire life. He has a BFA in Theater from NYU: Tisch and has toured the country with Improv4Kids, the Coast2Coast Comedy Tour, and FaceOffUnlimited. For the past decade, he's been a cast member of NYC's live Japanese Game Show BATSU! and runs their standup show Laughter Party. He also coaches comedians around the world, including helping Chase O'Donnell with her set "People Pleasure," which was featured on NPR and NYT's "Best Comedy Albums of 2023" lists.
